SHADES is a podcast exploring socio-political issues via Australian hip-hop music produced by Indigenous, Black and diverse artists.

Producer Beź proves the personal is political by smoothly weaving in rap verses with interviews about the inspiration behind the featured artists’ most political hits. With snappy and thought-provoking episodes, SHADES challenges Australia’s colonial history and celebrates diverse communities, examining questions of masculinity, racism, misogyny, mental health and moral panic.
