Her Game explores how people experience their gender in the traditionally hyper-masculine world of Australian Rules football.

Created in 2015, the podcast is a smart and insightful exploration of how sport, gender and national identity converge. Producer Bethany Atkinson-Quinton speaks to players, coaches, football club presidents, reporters and supporters. The issues might feel entrenched, but hearing from powerhouse leaders and inspirational people leaves you with a sense of hope for a more diverse and inclusive sporting culture. The series was originally produced at Melbourne’s Triple R station for the Community Radio Network, and has also featured in episodes of FBi Radio’s All The Best and Triple R’s Max Headroom.
