Presented by Daniel Browning, a Bundjalung and Kullilli man, AWAYE! tells stories about Aboriginal arts and culture from across Australia – as well as highlighting great radio from Indigenous broadcasters around the world. It’s a consistently interesting and surprising podcast with a thoughtful, reflective streak, and often an eye-opening listen.

A regular part of AWAYE! is Word Up, a series which shares words from Indigenous Australia’s many languages, one word (okay – three words) at a time. Guests are invited to choose three words from their language, and to talk about the particular meaning they hold. It’s fascinating stuff.
