The Conversation, a website that brings academic commentary and research to a general audience, launched into the podscape (in cahoots with Swinburne University) with Change Agents – a podcast about ‘the art of change and the people who make it happen’.

Andrew Dodd, host and programme director of Journalism at Swinburne University, identifies moments of social change – the push to legalise cannabis, the creation of the women’s Australian Football League (AFLW) or an overhaul of state government – and, with a seasoned journalist’s cap on, sits down to talk with the people pulling the levers. Like its parent website, Change Agents tugs at the threads of complicated ideas (and political, academic and any other kind of jargon) in efforts to unravel them. It appeared roughly monthly until 2017, but if you’re looking for an intelligent approach to broad social and political reforms in Australia, you’ll find it here.
