Yassmin Abdel-Magied

Yassmin Abdel-Magied is a Sudanese-born Muslim, and the co-presenter of Motor Mouth, a podcast about Formula One motor racing. She trained as a mechanical engineer and is a self-confessed car nut whose idea of a good time is to buy a beaten up old car, gut it of everything but the basics, then see how hard and fast she can push it.

In 2015, she was honoured as Young Australian of the Year (Queensland). She is founder and president of the NGO, Youth Without Borders, and has published a memoir, Yassmin’s Story: Who Do You Think I Am?
