Tom is a stand-up comedian, TV and radio host and the podcaster behind Like I’m A Six Year Old.
From 2010-2013, he co-hosted the Tom & Alex breakfast show on triple j, before hosting the ABC TV panel show Reality Check in 2014. Since then, he’s performed stand-up around the world, at the likes of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF), Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival.
In 2016, Ballard toured two shows: The World Keeps Happening and Boundless Plains To Share, a 70-minute comedy lecture about Australia’s treatment of refugees. For those two shows Ballard was nominated for the 2016 Barry Award For Most Outstanding Show at the MICF, and was given the inaugural Pinder Prize.
