Tiger Webb is the producer of Given Names, an ABC Radio National Showcase Series.
He is a broadcaster, writer and an unusual name possessor. A year four report card once described Tiger Webb as ‘gregarious’, a word he didn’t understand and had to look up. This possibly sparked his lifelong interest in language and linguistics, but then again perhaps it didn’t.
Regardless, he is now the ABC’s language research specialist. Tiger is a frequent contributor to ABC Radio. His programs tackle the big questions, such as: ‘why does everyone get so worked up about about James Joyce?’, and ‘what if the film Top Gun was about drone warfare?’ He tweets and reckons you should give it a go as well.
