Dallas produces radio and podcast pieces on a broad range of contemporary urban issues. He is a founding producer of the SoundMinds Radio show that broadcasts nationally, and a producer for The Conversation’s Speaking With… podcast series. His radio documentary, Searching for the Mousetribe in the Confucian City, was part of the 2015 Festival of Urbanism.
Dallas studied radio production, locational sound recording, radio documentary, news radio, music licensing and digital content production at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS).
His broader academic work explores contemporary urban issues such as globalising urban space, discourse and technology networks, and poverty and wealth. Dallas teaches within the School of Social Sciences and Psychology at the University of Western Sydney and is a regular commentator on urban and housing policy.
