Bethany Atkinson-Quinton is a presenter, producer and creative audio maker based in Melbourne. She has volunteered, worked and broadcast extensively in the community broadcasting sector with SYN, RRR, FBi and PBS. Her radio documentaries have been featured on ABC Radio National’s PocketDocs and FBi’s All The Best.
She is currently the Victorian State Coordinator and Supervising Producer for All The Best based at Triple R; Producer for Audio Stage; Interviews Coordinator and Access Program Producer at PBS 106.7FM, and sits on the board of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia as the Women’s Representative. She recently created a podcast series for the Community Radio Network called Her Game exploring how people experience their gender in AFL culture, and she is the former producer of the Australian Red Cross’s Life In Australia podcast.
Beth has taught and spoken about radio, podcasting and storytelling across many organisations and events and has been a mentor to budding radiomakers. She won four awards at the 2016 SYN Media Awards including feature of the year for a radio documentary exploring non-verbal communication. She has recently presented at the 2016 Emerging Writers Festival, 2016 Melbourne Writers Festival and the 2016 National Young Writers Festival on oral and aural storytelling and moderated at this year’s LISTEN: Feminist Futures conference.
